The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour Objectives and Purpose

More than 1,500 students from all across America take part in the Youth Tour experience each year, and so can you! 

Meet elected officials to better understand how their federal government works.  You will visit the museums, memorials, monuments and cooperative related organizations in order to become familiar with the historical and political environment of their nation's capital. 

To educate youth on all aspects of rural electrification, in order to promote a better understanding of the value of rural electric cooperatives.    

Sophomores and juniors attending high school are eligible to apply.  

Applications and requirements are available at your high school counselor's office, RCEC office located at 121 N. Main, Portales, NM and on our website.
